Malika Howard is a proud member of Alpha Chi Omega, a sorority a part of the Panhellenic Council. Alpha Chi Omega’s motto is Real Strong Women, which stems from their philanthropy, the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation. The Alpha Chi Omega Foundation focuses on victims and survivors of Domestic Violence and bringing awareness across the nation. The women of the Zeta Psi chapter host several events to raise awareness and help raise money to support the victims of this epidemic. Along with raising awareness of Domestic Violence with her sorority, Ms. Howard has also dedicated her services to other organizations and non-profits, such as the Metropolitan for Women and Children, which is a shelter for victims of abusive spouses within households. Below are list of her services:

Baskets of Hope- Disadvantaged children seem to always receive gifts for Christmas, but what about Easter? Ms. Howard and a few classmates teamed up, and within the four of these students they were able to organize, order, assemble, and deliver over 300 baskets to disadvantaged and battered children to different shelters in the city of New Orleans

Habit for Humanity- Along with her sorority sisters, Howard was able to build a house for a new homeowner.

Tutor- Malika Howard tutored 3rd graders at Lafayette Academy’s Reading Room. While there, she improved their reading and test taking skills. Each week they would read a book together and each week the level of difficulty would change with the new book they would read. By the end of their time together, they created a project on a person that read about during their time together.
